3D Graffiti
It is a shame that you have to wear 3D goggles to view this 3D graffiti light sculpture, as it looks amazing.

The Little Bird project was initiated by Daniel Arendt and Christian Lindemann, graphic designers working in Germany, who asked illustrators worldwide to contribute an illustration of a 'little bird'. Apart from the weath of really cool submissions, the project's blog site of submissions is a great location to find cool illustration talent, especially as the subject matter means that the illustrators can easily be compared amongst each other.
The submissions can be seen online here. You can also by a poster containing all of the works, with a large cut of the profits going to UNICEF
I do not know if this project was run by the same guys as 'Bunny'. If you did not see the Bunny project, run on occassion of the Pictoplasma character design conference, Check this out. The same concept as 'Little Bird', but...yes you guessed it with rabbits!
Here are some of my favorite 'little birds'.

This is a really good site for browsing illustrators portfolios. My only complaint is that you can only see one small image of peoples work, without having to link out to their own sites.

Created with the objective of promoting the network of creativews working in Barcelona, this site provides a way to search for talent across a wide range of criteria. It is visually impressive and very dynamic in design. The seach is very useful, but the initial navigation seems more funk than function. It is a very interesting example of making a dymamic interface for a network of information. The same group is also responsible for Created In Barcelona, a book highlioghting some of Barcelona's hottest creaetive talent. So if you are looking for or you are, an architect, designer, illustrator, photogrpaher or web designer in Barcelona check the site out here.

Shin Tanaka is a Japanese graphic designer and graffiti artist who has added a new angle to cool little toy designs, by releasing a collection that is made entirely of paper. Designers from around the world can submit their designs on predefiined templates, and then site visitors can open a box on the site and download a random toy design to print out and make for themselves.

The second exhibition to be shown in the recently opened Barcelona gallery/store features works by the gallery creators Vasava. Entitled Chorizo Iberico, a name that is a play on words - meaning literally a type of spanish spicy sausage, but also with a second meaning 'Spanish Criminal'. Playing with the concept of the cliche of typical Spanish cultural reference, it presents a new typical Spanish product - the Spanish gangster.
The prints, also available as a book can be seen in the gallery from December 14th until January 13th.

This site is an insanely rich and extensive archive of illustrations and photographs of American cars, trucks, advertising, fruit crate art and interior design. Plan59 must be one of the most extensive collections of retro commercial art online and is a useful research tool for anyone interested in design through the 50's and 60's. The images are available to buy online, or you can order prints of a vast selection of images.
Visit the site.

Flavorpill, the email magazine has for the US based edition of it's 'cultural simulae' mailer launched a project with Budweiser Select. The banners for a couple of months are turned over to the creative talents of a series of international artists and illustrators, with a new individual designing the banners each week. The result is 'advertising' that is easy on the eye and inspiring for the reader. The artworks are available as downloadable desktops. Featured artists include Adhemas, Rachel Domm, Oksana Badrak and Italian based English illustrator Andy Ward, (featured above).
The final part of the project sees the public vote for their favorite artwork.
Check out the project at Select Flavor.

Frequently updated with new members joining to exhibit and sell their work, this is an excellent resource for street style illustration and art. Featuring the works of Mr Jago (featured above), Phlash, Will Barras, Danny Sangra and many other fresh young talents. A good place to make an investment in affordable art.

Brooklyn based artist David Ellis and creates what he calls motion paintings.
"motion paintings travel through time like music, where beats are orchestrated and performed on "drum paintings" stretched and tuned to bass, snare, etc. and played via analog drum machines propelled by air, where player pianos meet SP1200s meet improvisational wild style sign painting"
MUST SEE - watch this motion painting on his site.
See more of his work at Jessica
Murray Projects and with the barnstormers at b-stormers.com and spreadtheknow.com.

Japanese brand Loft have launched a Halloween themed site to promote what looks like a fashion collection - I can't quite fathom it out, but it is a stunning site. Beautiful intro with comic style graphics and video of the models wearing the clothes. This very successfully presents the products in an extremely emotive way. The site has been created by Japanese agency CMD9.
